What happens once I request the activation of gas services?


After we receive your request for activating gas services through the retailer of your choice, we will get in touch with you so that we can set up your meter and check your gas installation. After doing the necessary tests and certifying that your installation complies with all regulations, NORTEGAS will activate the gas supply to your gas installation and notify your retailer.


Keep in mind that in order to inspect an installation, whether it’s a new supply point or a newly reconnected installation that had been out of use for more than a year, we’ll need to see the gas installation certificate issued by the installer.


After that, your retailer will be in charge of sending you your natural gas bill and managing your payments. NORTEGAS, as the distributing company, is responsible for reading your meter and providing 24-hour emergency services; if you’d like, we can also perform the required periodic inspection of your installation every five years.
